Tarmac Driveway

This front driveway and garden has undergone a full renovation. The old tarmacadam surface was in poor condition and not wide enough for our clients. The planting and lawn were unmanageable in their current condition and there was no clear front boundary to the garden. On our clients request we built a new plastered boundary wall with brick pillars. The driveway was completely removed and widened and replaced with a new tarmac surface. We also installed a new granite step at the front door to give the house a lift. The planting is selected specifically for coastal conditions.

This project involved the rejuvenation and redesign of a front car parking space. The clients required a modern layout that would provide space for two cars but would be balanced with appropriate planting. The aim was to create a space that would look attractive both with the cars in place and when they were absent.

Rear Garden Design: Decking and Granite

This rear garden was designed around an extension to the existing house. As part of the extension the clients were installing a large sliding glass doorway to the back of the house. The garden had to extend from this doorway so that the two spaces merged.

Contemporary Planting in Raised Planters

This rear garden had a sandstone patio surrounded by low raised planters. Our client wanted a modern planting scheme with lots of colour and a contemporary feel. We came up with a planting plan and carried out the work. The planting was a mix of herbaceous, grasses, box balls and some structural shrub planting to give all year round colour.

Country Garden Design

This was a design for a garden in the middle of the city. The client brief was to create an oasis of the country side in a city garden. To this end, a garden was created containing a substantial lawn and dense perennial planting. The busy clients also like to spend relaxation time in the garden, so a seating area to the rear of the house was included.
